How Built with Grok collects, uses, and looks after personal data when you visit this site or send a project enquiry. Last updated 1 September 2026.
Who we are
Built with Grok is a UK sole trader trading under that name. It is not a limited company, so there is no Companies House number. For this website and inbound enquiries, the sole trader is the data controller. Contact us at hello@builtwithgrok.co.uk.
What we collect
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the details you send: name, work email, company (if given), which offer you are interested in, and your project brief. We also receive basic technical data from hosting and email delivery (for example IP address, browser type, and timestamps) that our providers log to operate the service.
We do not run marketing cookies or advertising trackers on this site.
Why we use it
We use enquiry data to decide whether we are a fit, reply, and — if we work together — to scope and deliver the engagement. The legal bases are steps toward a contract and our legitimate interest in running a studio and responding to people who contact us.
Who else sees it
The public site is served through Cloudflare. The contact form posts to this site only. A Cloudflare Worker receives the enquiry, stores a copy so we can recover it if email delivery fails, and delivers it to hello@builtwithgrok.co.uk. FormSubmit is used only as a best-effort copy from the Worker. Your browser does not visit FormSubmit. Those providers process data on our instructions so the site and inbox work. We do not sell your data. We do not use enquiry content to train foundation models.
Some of those providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on their published safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for the transfer.
How long we keep it
Form enquiries stored by the Worker expire after about 180 days. We keep unsuccessful enquiries in email for up to 24 months, then delete them unless we need to retain a record (for example a legal claim). If you become a client, we keep what the engagement and UK law require, then delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to our use of it, or to move it. Email hello@builtwithgrok.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
This site is for business contact. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this notice in a material way, we will update this page and the date above.
